Digit Span

Basic Characteristics

  • Description

In the Digit-Span task, one must remember a growing list of digits and repeat them in either the exact order they were presented (forwards digit span) or in the reverse order (backwards digit span). Backwards digit-span is often considered an indicator of working memory capacity.
