Basic Characteristics
- Description
The CANTAB (Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery) Spatial Recognition task assesses visual spatial recognition memory. The test is a 2 choice forced discrimination paradigm which takes about 5 minutes to copmlete. Participants are presented with a hite square that appears in sequence at five different locations on the screen. During a recognition phase participants see a series of five pairs of squares, one is in a place previously seen in the presentation phase and the other in a location not seen in the presentation phase. Locations are tested in the reverse of the presentation order. This task is repeated 3 times each with five new locations.
